As one of the visionaries behind Squid X Media, Dylan brings over 15 years of marketing leadership experience, working with brands such as The New York Times, Raycom Media, Disney, Verizon Wireless, Marcoa Media, Ashley HomeStore, Altitude Trampoline Park, and OrangeTheory Fitness. His leadership style is anchored in collaboration and empowerment, believing that strong partnerships are the key to unlocking infinite possibilities for clients. At the heart of Squid X is Dylan’s deep passion for the coast, oceanography, and marine biology – which directly inspired the agency’s brand standards. The ocean’s vastness and adaptability serve as the perfect metaphor for the flexibility and limitless potential Squid X offers its clients. Plus, it allowed him to pick his favorite cool colors!
A key force behind Squid X Media’s founding was Dylan’s partnership with his wife, Kristina. As his business partner and trusted advisor, Kristina offers a powerful, complementary perspective. She fills operational and organizational gaps, helping the business stay focused and efficient. Together, they form a dynamic duo, blending Dylan’s marketing acumen with Kristina’s empathetic leadership & ability to streamline processes, identify inefficiency, and understand the logistics of how to build award winning, company culture. Their partnership, rooted in trust and shared vision, is the foundation of Squid X Media’s success.
The third prong in this power trio for success was first met in 2012 – Joey Hranek, one of Dylan’s closest friends. The two bonded quickly over a shared passion for New York Sports, fitness, gaming, cars, and entrepreneurship. Early on, a dream was born to one day own and run a company together. With Joey’s extensive B2B experience, sales acumen, impeccable work ethic, and legendary personality, he was the perfect fit to lead the Business Development pillar at Squid X. Joey’s unshakable commitment to excellence and growth helps drive the company’s bold, impactful vision forward.
Outside of the office, Dylan is an avid gamer, a two-time fantasy sports champion, a cyclist, and a pickleball fanatic – bringing the same fun, competitive energy to both his business and personal life. He and his wife also have a deeply routed love for their 2 senior dogs, Verde (a staffy mix) & Robbie (a boxer).
Joey is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and seasoned sales leader with over 15 years in business development and B2B sales. His military background instilled values of trust, resilience, and precision, which he brings to his role at Squid X Media, where he drives growth through genuine client relationships and strategic vision.
Together with co-founder Dylan Connors, Joey built Squid X on shared values of integrity and innovation. Outside of work, he’s a devoted husband to Amanda and proud father of five, finding inspiration in family as he leads with purpose both at home and in the business.
